When I entered foster care at just three days old, my foster parents were told that I likely wouldn't return to my birth parents. So, they chose the name Theresa Cathleen for me, and for two years, I was known as TC. But at the age of two, when I was reunited with my birth father, adjusting to my birth name, Keri Hope, was a challenge. However, over time, I grew back into it.

Years later, during my college days, a stranger's prayer left an indelible mark on me when she said: "You are not meant to carry the burdens of the past; you are meant to carry hope." Those words echoed the essence of my name—Keri Hope—a name given to me by my birth mother. But it wasn’t just a name, in it lies a message of encouragement, a direction in which to move forward.

It was at that moment I realized this name symbolized a journey—a journey of overcoming challenges, embracing hope, and finding strength in adversity. And as I embarked on the path of founding this firm, I knew that its name had to reflect not just who I am but also the work we aspire to do.
